Wedding Budgeting

Great advice on budgeting. I'm only disappointed that you advise people that a wedding planner is not necessary. According to my clients, it's the best money they ever spent. Especially when you consider that I help them save at least the cost of my services and many time much more.

As wedding professionals we have hundreds of vendors that we've built relationships. We know who will be the best match for our client, personality, style and budgetwise.

Not only that - do brides really want their friends or family members (who are guests, by the way) to deal with emergencies and unreliable vendors?

TRUST ME A WEDDING PLANNER IS WORTH EVERY PENNY YOU SPEND. Don't believe me? Go to my website www.weddingjeannie.com and read my testimonials on my portfolio page.

The rest of the advice you gave is pretty good.

Thanks for the tips!

I'm with Jeannie on that one! After 3 weddings of my own (to the same man, not to worry) and multiple near-breakdowns, I think investing in the services of a good wedding planner is the best money you can spend. At the very least, you should hire the wedding planner to look after only the actual wedding day, after you've done did all the prep work. On that day, s/he makes all the difference in how smoothly things go.

And honestly, how many people have friends with Bentleys?!? Not anyone who needs to be too concerned with their wedding budget. :-)
